We have 2-bedroom units ready (or opening soon) across north Jackson, MO and Cape Girardeau, MO — all located in the Jackson School District, and close to the places you live, work, and play.

FAQ: Renting with Lilmac Properties

How much is rent?

  • Jackson units: $900/month 
  • Jackson large townhomes (2-story): $1,000/month
  • Cape units: $1,300/month flat rate

Are pets allowed?

Yes — in most units, pets are welcome with a few added steps:

  • $250 pet deposit (non-refundable)
  • $50/month in additional pet rent
  • We may limit the number, size, or breed of pets in some cases
  • Some pet restrictions may apply (just ask, we’re happy to be clear)

Just be honest on your request form and we’ll help you figure out what’s possible.

What utilities are included in rent?

Utilities are not included

Each unit has individual hookups for:

  • Water
  • Electric
  • Wi-Fi or internet
  • Trash (city service or on-site dumpster, depending on location)

We’re happy to give you a rough monthly estimate based on what other renters typically spend — just ask.

What appliances are included?

All units come with:

  • Refrigerator
  • Oven/stove
  • Microwave
  • Dishwasher
  • Washer & dryer (in-unit)

There’s no shared laundry — everything you need is already here.

Do the units have garages or driveways?

Yes! Each unit includes a single-car garage or a spot in the driveway for vehicles. Some on-street guest parking is available too.

Please note: parking for oversized vehicles or multiple roommates with cars may be limited in some areas.

What kind of storage or outdoor space do I get?

Jackson units have walk-out patios or grassy areas that feel like small yards — with some offering deep backyard space. Cape units feature simple private patio slabs out back. Great for a chair and your morning coffee.

What if I need to move before the lease is up?

We understand that life happens. Our standard lease is 12 months, but in most cases, we’ll work with you if plans change.

If you need to move early:

  • You’re still responsible for rent until we can re-rent the unit
  • We’ll do our best to find someone quickly
  • We never allow subleasing

Just reach out — we believe in treating people fairly.

Is there carpet?

Nope. Every unit is 100% carpet-free. That means easy-to-clean flooring throughout, and a fresh feel without weird smells or stains.

Will I hear my neighbors?

Probably not. Our buildings were built for peace and quiet. They’re well-insulated and solidly constructed, so what goes on next door tends to stay next door.

What schools are these units zoned for?

All of our properties — even those located in Cape — are within the Jackson R-II school district.

How close are you to hospitals or major employers?

We’re located with working folks in mind.

From Jackson units:

  • 20 minutes or less to St. Francis Hospital, Mercy Hospital, P&G, and Mondi
  • Walkable distance to Jackson Civic Center, the Trail, and Anytime Fitness

From Cape units:

  • Within 15 minutes of both St. Francis and Mercy hospitals
  • Quick access to the interstate
  • Short drive to downtown or the university

Can I schedule a tour?

Absolutely. Start by filling out our Request to Rent form — it helps us understand what you need and whether we have a good match available. We’ll follow up in a day or two to set up a time to meet and show you around.
